Individual Sport Counseling
The Dayton Institute of
Applied Sport Sciences is
dedicated to the mental
health wellness of
athletes, coaches, and their
families. At some
point in our lives, we might
all need help with adjusting
to life’s concerns and to
the people and things that
surround us. The concerns
can be related to sport
participation or they can
come from other areas of our
daily life. Individual or
group counseling from a
trained professional can
often facilitate adjusting
and coping. The Institute
offers counseling services
for these life issues and
transitions including:
-
Injury recovery
-
Being cut from a sport
-
Eating and food issues
-
Over training and burn
out
-
Parent, student athlete,
and coaches’
relationship issues and
questions
-
Drug use and abuse
-
Career questions and
opportunities
-
Emotional stress and
confusion
Please feel free to contact
the Institute for a
confidential interview and
assessment of how we might
help you.
